Real Estate Roundup: Foreclosure Capitals Vote Obama, Redfin Cuts Bloggers, Urban Bay and McGuire Merge and More!

Redfin-new-LogoBiz Journal Says Obama Won Big in Foreclosure Capitals

Places like Orlando, Fla., Green Bay, Wisc., San Diego and Reno, Nev., are why Obama won Tuesday night.

Hmmm, so places where there’s little hope and economic depression want change? How odd!

Redfin decides to be be a REAL real estate broker.

Strangely, nothing mentioned about laying off their Sweet Digs bloggers…..

Urban Bay Properties and and McGuire Merge

Urban Bay Properties, founded in 2004, which specializes urban  lofts and condominiums will merge with McGuire Real Estate, founded in 1919. McGuire, a residential real estate company serves the luxury market and hopes to expand its brand name in San Francisco.

Is it my imagination or do I hear the theme of “Green Acres?”

 Real Estate Web Sites Struggling

Motley Fool makes fun ot ZipRealty, Move.com, HouseValues (who?!?) and Tree.com (double who?!?) who had poor quarterly results.

Real estate industry struggling = real estate Web sites struggling. I do like Zip’s info, I just wish they’d quit e-mailing me to buy a house. Annoying!
